Prattmandu kittens and cats are available only to loving homes where they will receive the best quality care.    Our kittens are raised in our bedroom for the ultimate socialization.    We breed a maximum of two to three litters a year.  Bengals are very active, intelligent, curious, loving and loyal cats.  With appropriate love and care, they thrive.  Our kittens are vaccinated according to the new protocol at 8 weeks and 12 weeks.  They are ready to leave after the 12 week vaccination.  We believe that this time with mom provides our kittens with the best socialization and prevents problems which can arise from earlier weaning.  We will provide health records and a CD of baby pictures with each cat or kitten. Our breeding cats are HCM screened yearly.

If you are interested in one of the kittens/cats below, please send us an e-mail telling us about you and the home you will provide by clicking on "Contact Us.

PET/SHOW ALTER

Most of our kittens are sold as pets or show alters.  Our pet kittens are available for $500 and may be shown.  Our show alters are cats that display absolutely superior qualities who should be placed as show/breeder cats and are available beginning at $1,000.  They will be spayed or neutered.

SHOW/BREEDER

Some breeders make a distinction between breeders and show quality cats, which places breeders "between" pet and show cats.  We don't make those distinctions.  Any breeder from our cattery is a cat I would like to keep and show.  We sell breeders to established breeders that we know personally, but we are very willing to mentor new breeders.  (You need to know that this mentoring relationship is for life.)

Litter Born March 5, 2010

Dam:  Prattmandu Danu   Sire: TGC Fianna Dreamcatcher of Prattmandu

Three girls play Queen of the Mountain:  Clare, Bella (nee Shannon) and Liffey.  Since last year's March litter was named for Celtic gods, goddesses and heroes, this litter got the names of Irish rivers.  Two girls, including Bella, have been placed in pet homes.  I am still trying to decide which girl to keep.  The lucky pet girl goes to Don and Paulette Owens, happy owner of Prattmandu Putter (formerly Zoomer).

Look for more photos soon!

Liffey tackles Bella.
Bella is one lucky girl!  She will be going to live with Jennifer Worsham in Colorado.

Litter Born March 13, 2008

Dam: CH Akhira Akashi of Prattmandu

Sire: CH Prattmandu Simply Marbleous

This was the very last litter from Akashi and Marbleous, who have made such beautiful babies.  I asked Kashi to make two girls for me, one to continue on here, and one for my Best Friend, Sharron Henderson Goller of LaGallerie Bengals.

Akashi obliged.  She had exactly two girls.  At first, I knew which one was for me.  Finally, they had put the "Itsie" pattern on the girl with the thick tail!  Finally!!  So she got named "Marbleous Finale."  Made sense since this was their last litter!

The girl I was sure I would give to Sharron, I called Little Sister until I was sick of singing Billy Idol songs.  Then I just switched it to French (petite souer).  But I could not call a cat by a name that in English sounds like "sewer."  So, she became Ma Petite Chouchou (literally, "My Little Cabbage"), a French term of endearment.

In the end, when the time for choosing came, I let Sharron pick.  So Finnie is at LaGallerie, and Chouchou is here.  This tickles my heart.  I love humorous irony.

Litter Born December 5, 2007

Dam: Prattmandu Degas Feeling

Sire: Stonesriver Loki of Uniqueprints

This litter was born in the midst of the much publicized controversy of the British school teacher in the Sudan who had allowed her students to name their classroom teddy bear "Muhammed."  People actually wanted to sentence her to death for this.  So to honor Gillian Gibbons, I tried to name this litter appropriately.

Noriko and Diva

"Mo"

SOLD

Prattmandu MoBetterHeySeuss

Mo's name is obvious, and he was the first to be named.  A boy kitten born under these circumstances had to be named "Mo."  The rest of the name came later. This pic is of Mo on the saddle in the bedroom.

Noriko is the name of my best friend in college.  She was from Japan, and was one of the sweetest people I've ever met.
